Ketchikan Theatre Ballet will present An Evening of Dance at Kayhi on Feb 23rd. This performance will feature an array ballet, tap, jazz and modern performed by our Jr. and Sr. Company members. This year's performance will feature a contemporary jazz piece choreographed by Neda Ebrahimi for our Senior Company. Call Ketchikan Theatre Ballet 907-225-9311 for more information. The Ketchikan Community Chorus presents Voices of the North, on February 24th at 2pm, at Holy Name Church. Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for kids. This concert will feature some of Ketchikan's finest musicians performing classical and other works. Tickets go on sale for Trio Voronezh, who will perform in Ketchikan on March 16th. Classically trained at the Conservatory in Voronezh, Russia, the Trio Voronezh was discovered playing Bach in a subway station in Frankfurt, Germany. From there, they have performed throughout Europe and North America. Their diverse repertoire ranges from classical works of Bach, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky to Russian folk music and popular songs by Gershwin and Piazzola, to Russian folk and gypsy dance music. is on display at the Tongass Historical Museum, 629 Dock Street.
"We photograph anything, anywhere" is an exhibition
of photographs taken in the 1920s and 30s by Elliot Fisher. This
exhibition of about 70 photographs will feature a wide variety
of photographic styles and techniques, demonstrating the versatility
and ingenuity of this local photographer who indeed seemed to
photograph everything, everywhere. Also on exhibit will be a
selection of newly discovered, century-old glass plate images
by Benjamin Haldane, a Metlakatla photographer, whose work spans
from 1890 1930. The exhibit will run through Sunday, April
