March is Women's History Month!
A kick off event was held Friday evening at the Ketchikan Resource
Center as Barbara Bean, Elizabeth Peratrovich's great niece,
narrated a slide show on Elizabeth Peratrovich's life.
Friday's night's kick off event
was attended by approximately 20 people. Among those attending
were Mary & Willard Jones.

In recognition of Women's History
month, The University of Alaska will be hosting a film festival
in the college library at 7:00 pm on the following dates:
March 5th: Growing up Female
March 19th: Union Maids
March 26th: Hearts & Hands

On Saturday, March 30th, there
will an awards ceremony at Annabelle's for the Southern Southeast
Alaska Phenomenal Woman Award. Tickets will be on sale starting
March 4th. Cost is $10 per ticket and if you would like to sponsor
someone, you can purchase a ticket. Contact Women In Safe Homes
