Old Times Revisited
Native Elders & Cultural Teachers To Be Honored

Old Times Revisited, a program that brings together 11 years of participants in a Forest Service and University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan Campus community based program, will be the theme of this week's Alaska Discovery Center's Friday Night Insight Program.

Native Elders and other cultural teachers that have provided advice and guidance for this community based program will be honored during a public presentation consisting of reminiscences, slides and a 20-minute video reliving these cooperative programs.

The hour-long program is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm on April 12th and will be held in the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center's theater located at 50 Main Street in downtown Ketchikan.

The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center's Friday Night Insight Programs are provided free of charge and the public is invited to attend. The Insight Programs are held every Friday evening from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm and are designed to provide education and entertainment about Alaska's ecosystems, wildlife, natural resources, public lands and Native Cultures.
