By Proclamation dated April
15th, Ketchikan Borough Mayor Jack Shay has declared the week
of April 28 through May 4, 2002 as Municipal Clerks Week and
extended appreciation to our local Municipal Clerks.
Recognized for their accomplishments,
the vital services they perform and for their dedication to the
communities of Ketchikan and Saxman which they serve are (left
to right):

The Office of the Municipal
Clerk throughout the world is a time honored and vital part of
local government and the oldest among public servants states
the Proclamation. Municipal Clerks provide the professional link
between the citizens, the local governing bodies, and agencies
of government at other levels as well as serving as the information
center on functions of local government and the community.
