 by Grace Kirkwood - Adult Category Craig, Alaska  This is a tribute to Lucy. There never was a Dal quite like her. Lucy was very special. She would let Mom dress her up like this even though she wasn't terrible fond of the idea. She'd show her Mom and Dad how much she loved them by putting her head on their chest when they asked her how she felt. She also had "fake" fights with her Dad. She loved to "nutbag" around the yard with Maxxi (her daughter) and Jazzmyn (her half sister). They all enjoyed being bed potatoes on their very own bed. Lucy's most favorite things were sampling Mom's homemade biscuits and begging for carrots. Cuddling at night was another favorite trait of hers but sometimes she'd have to compete for her space next to Mom and then we'd have a "three-dog-night." Of course, that left absolutely no room for Mom or Dad! Several of her puppies were famous "models" for various advertising companies. Lucy herself obtained fame by being featured as the Pet of the Day, Feburary 14, 1998. We sure miss her!
