 2002 Phenomenal Women Awards Brenda Sallenbach Honored Brenda Sallenbach, of Petersburg, has devoted much of her adult life in the preservation of Alaskan Native culture. She has volunteered her time to teach adults and youth Native beading, weaving, and drumming. She is the mother of five children and foster mother to three. Sallenbach was unable to attend the Phenomenal Women Awards event.
