7:00 pm A Night of Jazz & Blues - Kayhi Auditorium featuring: Windjammers Jazz Club; Soundwaves Jazz Club; Discovery Jazz Club; Kayhi Jazz Ensemble - Proceeds will benefit the Sam Pitcher Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will help Ketchikan Youth Musicians attend summer music and fine arts camps. Sam Pitcher was a member of all of the ensembles performing at this concert.

In addition, the Council will be considering Resolution No. 03-2089, canceling the special election previously set for January 13, 2004. Drafts of the proposed 2004 budgets are available for public review at the City Clerk's Office, 334 Front Street & the Ketchikan Public Library.

January 2004 School Calendar Change: The Ketchikan School Board approved a school calendar change at the November 12, 2003 board meeting. January 5, 2004 will be an in-service day for the school staff. This will mean there is no school for the students on Monday, January 5, 2004.
January 20, 2004 Application Deadline - Cash Benefits for Alaska's Pacific Salmon Fishers - Application forms must be completed and returned to Alaska Farm Service Agency by January 20, 2004.
